Cyrilla A. Hammers, 84 of Ferdinand formerly of Bristow died Thursday September 1st at her home. She was born March 20, 1932 in Uniontown, Indiana to Martin C. & Julitta E. (Merkley) Bauer. She married Leonard Hammers Jr. on October 24, 1951 in St. Martin Of Tours Catholic Church in Siberia. He preceded her in death on January 15, 1987.

Survivors include, Four sons: James Hammers, Keith Hammers, & Mark (Doris) Hammers all of Bristow, Chris (Barbra) Hammers of English. Six grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren. One sister, Mercedes (John) Phruher of Bristow. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Norbert & Denis Bauer.

Cyrilla retired from G.E. in Tell City, she also worked part time at the St. Meinrad Archabbey & the Sisters Of St. Benedict Monastery in Ferdinand. She enjoyed crocheting, going to yard sales, gardening, visiting her family farm, and being with family & friends. She was a member of St. Ferdinand and St. Martin Of Tours Catholic Parishes. She was a member of Ferdinand Senior Citizens.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM EDT Tuesday in St. Martin Of Tours Catholic Church in Siberia with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8:00 PM EDT Monday & 7 to 9:30 AM EDT Tuesday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand.
