Leonard J. Fischer, 79 of St. Anthony died Tuesday November 8th at The Waters Of Huntingburg. He was born in St. Meinrad, In. on March 6, 1937 to Norbert & Lena (Vaal) Fischer. He married Clara Mae Stemle on November 11, 1967 in Sacred Heart Of Jesus Church in Schnellville.

Surviving are his wife, Clara Mae Fischer, One son, David (Emerald) Fischer of Birdseye, One daughter, Susan Richardson of Huntingburg. Three sisters, Sylvia Pfeiffer of Newburgh, Mary (David) Ziliak of Ferdinand, & Carol (Ted) Harpenau of Greenwood, In. Three brothers, Henry Fischer, Kenny (Sarah) Fischer, & Stanley (Patty) Fischer all of Ferdinand. Two grandchildren, Jordan & Faith Fischer and two step-grandchildren, Hannah & Steven Speedy. He was preceded in death by 1 sister Pat Albert & a sister in law, Shirley Fischer. Leonard retired from Central Concrete Supply and Hasenour Motor Company , St. Anthony. He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, St. Anthony Of Pauda Church, St. Anthony Community Club, St. Anthony Conservation Club, and Mariah Hill Y.M.I.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday November 10th in Divine Mercy Parish, St. Anthony Of Pauda Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Becher Funeral Home, Ferdinand and from 11:00 AM till Noon Thursday at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
