Carrie Y. Phipps, age 56, of Huntingburg, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016, at her home.

She was born November 17, 1960, in Louisville, Kentucky. Mrs. Phipps worked as a health care provider. She loved reading books, watching movies, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Carrie was preceded in death by her husband, Peter L. Phipps, who passed away on June 2, 2009; two sons, John Phipps and Jason Phipps; and one sister, Judy Miles.

She is survived by:

Her son and daughter-in-law,
Charles (Amy) Phipps of Jasper, Ind.;
by two sisters, one brother, five nieces, three nephews and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services for Carrie Phipps will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Friday, December 30, 2016, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00 p.m., on Thursday.

Burial will take place at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky at 1:00 p.m., E.S.T., on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
