Hilda Lee Kuntz, age 90, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 2:45 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017 at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.

Hilda was born in Huntingburg, Indiana, on September 6, 1926, to Walter and Belva (Whitsitt) Mutchman.  She married Norbert Kuntz on September 14, 1946.  He preceded her in death on August 12, 2003.

She worked at General Electric in Tell City, the Jasper Corporation and in the deli at Buehler Foods.

She was a charter member of the Women of the Jasper Moose #955, and a member of Salem United Church of Christ, the Precious Blood Ladies Sodality, a lifetime member of V.F.W. Auxiliary #673, Dubois County Saddle Club, and was a Tri-Cap, R.S.V.P, and Red Cross Volunteer.

She enjoyed riding horses and playing cards.

Surviving, one son, Mike (Deb) Kuntz, Jasper, IN, one granddaughter, Abby (Bill) Troutman, Jasper, IN, two great-grandchildren, Jillian and Mallory Troutman, Jasper, IN, one sister, Shirley (Donnie) Otto, Huntingburg, one daughter-in-law, Lois Kuntz, Jasper, IN, and three nieces and one nephew.

Preceding her in death are one son, Richard “Dick” Kuntz, and one brother, Chester “Chet” Mutchman.

A Funeral Service for Hilda Lee Kuntz will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the funeral home on Monday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Women of the Jasper Moose #955, Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg, or to a favorite charity.
