Rosella M. Seger, age 91, of Huntingburg, Indiana passed away at 12:20 p.m., on Monday, May 29, 2017, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

Rosella was born July 31, 1925, in Jasper, Indiana to Edward and Louise (Long) Mendel. She was united in marriage to Oscar F. Seger on August 27, 1946, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper. Rosella was a homemaker; and member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg and the V.F.W. Post #2366 Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar F. Seger, who died March 2, 2002; five brothers, Alois, Urban, Hilbert, Charles and Robert Mendel; and two sisters, Irene Blessinger and Mary Ann Mendel.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Gene (Janis) Seger of Huntingburg and Larry (Jeanie) Seger of Huntingburg; one sister, Albertina Meyer of Huntingburg; three grandchildren, Renee Childress, Alex Seger and Nick Seger; and three great grandchildren, Eyan Childress, Aspen Childress and Bryce Seger.

Funeral services for Rosella M. Seger will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Ryan Hilderbrand.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-8:00 p.m., on Monday. A parish rosary prayer vigil, led by Deacon Tom Holsworth, will be held at 3:30 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary’s Church.
