Larry A. Marks, age 79 of Jasper, passed away at 11:40p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Campus in Jasper.

Larry was born in Jasper, Indiana, on March 2, 1938 to Edward and Anna (Bellner) Marks. He married Jeanne Ebert on September 16, 1961 in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He retired from Kimball, where he was a truck driver.

Larry was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church.

He enjoyed spending time at his cabin, four wheeling, gardening, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife Jeanne Marks, Jasper, IN, four children, Andrew (Lourdes) Marks, Corpus Christi, TX, Paul (Kelly) Marks, Jasper, IN, Toni (Bret) Mundy, Birdseye, IN, Vicki (Steve) Meiring, Jasper, IN, five grandchildren, Kristofer Mundy, Whitney Mundy, Alex Meiring, Patrick Meiring, and Benjamin Marks, one great grandson, Preston Mundy, four siblings, Joe (Carole) Marks, Jasper, IN, Ron (Margie) Marks, Celestine, IN, Charlotte (Barry) Bell, Shawnee, KS, Kathy (Mike) Fulkerson, Huntingburg, IN, and one sister-in-law, Virginia Marks, Ferdinand, IN.

Preceding him in death are one sister, Marilee Kreilein and one brother, Bob Marks.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Larry A. Marks will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana with entombment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper. The American Legion Post #147 will conduct military grave site rites.

A visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at the church from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Memorial contributions may be made to Precious Blood Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
