Mark J. Berg, age 62, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017 at his home in Jasper after a short illness.

Mark was born in Jasper, Indiana on February 9, 1955 to James R. and Bettye J. (Pfau) Berg.

He retired from Kimball Hospitality in Jasper.

He was an avid fisherman and movie buff, enjoyed grilling, and was a Kentucky basketball fan.

Surviving is his father, James R. Berg of Jasper, three sisters, Shelley Otto (Jeryl Luegers) of Jasper, Lisa Siebert (John) of Jasper, Melanie “Mem” Berg (Maureen McCune) of Greenwood, IN, two brothers, Mike Berg of Island Lake, IL., and Marty Berg (Joey Mateo) of San Francisco, CA, nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Bettye Berg.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mark J. Berg will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper at a later date.

A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
