Michael D. Gehlhausen, age 54 of Dubois, IN, passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper, IN.

Michael was born in Jasper, Indiana on August 5, 1962 to Edgar and Dian (Rohrscheib ) Gehlhausen.

He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

He worked as a mechanic and also worked for Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center.

He enjoyed reading – especially history, participating in Civil War reenactments, and listening to music.

Surviving are his parents, Edgar and Dian Gehlhausen, Dubois, and one brother, Brett L. Gehlhausen, Dubois, IN.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents.

Funeral Services for Michael D. Gehlhausen will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, IN, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Karen Husby will officiate.

A Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, IN.
