Norma Eileen Atkins, age 80, of Jasper, passed away at 10:10 p.m., on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at The Timbers of Jasper.

She was born March 20, 1937, in Huntingburg, Indiana to Earl and Clois (Wells) Coble. Norma was a factory worker; member of New Hope General Baptist Church in Birdseye; and enjoyed playing cards. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Leon, Kenny, Red and Wendell Coble, Nelma “Shorty” Partenheimer; and two grandsons, Shawn Howe and Daryl Jeffries.

Norma is survived by five children, Terry (Donna) Atkins of Huntingburg, Gary (Brenda) Atkins of Dubois, Sherry (Rick) Howe of Taswell, Lou Ann (Greg) Mangin of Otwell and Penny Atkins of Jasper; one brother, Martin Coble of Martinsville; by nineteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Norma Eileen Atkins will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Birdseye Cemetery in Birdseye.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday; and also from 9:00-10:00 a.m., Wednesday, prior to the funeral. Condolences may be shared online at: www.nassandson.com
