Ronnie Wesley Brown, age 70, of Velpen, passed away at 1:43 p.m., Tuesday, July 4, 2017, in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born February 20, 1947, in Burns City, Indiana to Lyle and Jonell (Christmas) Brown.  Ronnie worked as a coal miner for Amax Coal.  He enjoyed horseback riding, fishing and hunting.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Yvonne (maiden: Nolan) Brown of Velpen;daughter, Gloria Jo Clements of Velpen; son, Wesley J. Brown of Velpen; sister, Debbie Jo Morris of Evansville; four grandchildren, Lucas, Blake and Austin Clements, and Hunter Brown; and two great grandchildren, Cameron Clements and Daisy Cruze.

Graveside services for Ronnie Brown will be held at 1:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Sunday, July 9, 2017, at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Velpen.  There will be no visitation at the funeral home.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.  Reverend Joe Henson will officiate at the graveside service.  Condolences may be shared online at:  www.nassandson.com
