Louis W. Schwoeppe, 77 of St. Meinrad passed away Monday August 7th at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. He was born September 28, 1939 in St. Henry to John and Louise (Woebkenberg) Schwoeppe. He married Lillian “Bebsy” Fischer on July 6, 1963 in Saint Meinrad Catholic Church. Louis retired from DMI Furniture Company and owned and operated Schwoeppe’s RV & Trailer Parts. He was a member of St. Meinrad Parish, Tell City 4th degree Knights Of Columbus Council, St. Meinrad K of C # 5599, and the National Campers and Hikers Association. He enjoyed camping, fishing, watching sports, being with family and friends, especially his two grandsons.

Surviving are his wife, Lillian “Bebsy” Schwoeppe, One son, Rodney (Carol) Schwoeppe of Ferdinand, and One daughter, Ginger (Scott) Mullis of Siberia. Two grandsons, Keyan and Landon Mullis. One sister, Mary Lou (Darrell) Weisman of Ireland and one brother, Richard (Evelyn) Schwoeppe of Ferdinand. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, 3 brothers, Floyd, Charles, and James Schwoeppe.

Funeral services for Louis W. Schwoeppe will be held at 10:00 AM CDT Friday August 11th in Saint Meinrad Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8:00 PM CDT Thursday and after 7:00 AM CDT Friday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Online condolences may be shared at www.becherfuneralhome.com.
