Dolores L. Rauscher, age 83, of Huntingburg, passed away at 11:23 p.m., on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the Daviess Community Hospital in Washington.

She was born July 11, 1934, in Jasper, Indiana to Aloysis and Eldena (Zehr) Otto; and married Elbert Russell Rauscher on September 1, 1951, in Jasper. Dolores worked in the housekeeping department of CORE Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Huntingburg; was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the V.F.W. Post #2366 Ladies Auxiliary; and was an avid bingo player. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Russell “Russ” Rauscher, who died on November 27, 1994; one daughter, Paula Jane Kratzer, who died on February 21, 2012; and two grandchildren, Eric Kratzer and Damien Holmes.

Dolores is survived by three children, Lynn (Danny) Ferguson of Evanston, Stan (Arlene) Rauscher of Huntingburg and Tom Rauscher of Jasper; two brothers, Donnie (Shirley) Otto of Huntingburg and Denny (Marlene) Otto of Jasper; by nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Dolores L. Rauscher will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Ryan Hilderbrand.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Wednesday. A parish rosary prayer vigil will be held at 5:30 p.m., on Wednesday, followed by a memorial service conducted by the V.F.W Post #2366 Auxiliary at 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
