Robert L. Singer, 92, of Huntingburg, passed away at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at his residence.

He was born September 19, 1925, in Huntingburg to Gilmore Singer and Thelma (Nelson) Singer Gerlach; and married Norma Jean Ingle on January 11, 1948, in Huntingburg.  Bob was a former Postmaster of the Huntingburg Post Office; a member of V.F.W. Post #2366 and Salem United Church of Christ; and a United States Army veteran of World War II.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Singer, who died February 28, 2000.

He is survived by one daughter, Cindy (Charlie) Fuhs of Huntingburg; his companion, Mary Rose Haas of Huntingburg; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services for Robert Singer will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2018, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg.  Pastor Mark West will officiate; and the V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail will conduct military graveside rites.
