Selma L. Neukam, age 90, of Haysville, Indiana, passed away at 9:59 p.m. on January 2, 2018, in The Timbers of Jasper.

Selma was born in Haysville, Indiana, on April 27, 1927, to Edward and Eva (Baer) Breitwieser.  She married Milfred Neukam on May 11, 1946, and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2006.

Selma was a homemaker and was a cook at the K of C for many years.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville.

She enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Surviving are one daughter-in-law, Cindy Neukam, four grandchildren, David (Shelley) Neukam, Haysville, IN, Michael (Candace) Neukam, Dawson Springs, KY, Phillip Neukam, Huntingburg, IN, Alex Neukam, Ireland, IN, seven great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, one sister, Mildred (Harold) Hemmerlein, Haysville, IN, one brother, Edwin Breitwieser, Haysville, IN, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her husband are one son, Ron Neukam, one great grandson, Kai Neukam, and two sisters, Helena Goller, Genevieve Seitz.

A service for Selma L. Neukam will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana with burial to follow in Emmanuel Hill Cemetery near Dubois, Indiana.

A visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, and one hour before services at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran  Church, the Dubois County Humane Society, or a favorite charity.
