Lucille F. Gehlhausen, age 93, of Ferdinand, passed away at 10:43 p.m., on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at her home.

She was born October 4, 1924, in Ferdinand, Indiana to Frank and Louise (Oser) Stetter; and married Merrill L. Gehlhausen on May 16, 1945, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.  Lucille was employed at Best Chairs as a seamstress.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Ladies Sodality; and enjoyed needlepoint and embroidery.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Edgar Stetter.

Lucille is survived by her husband, Merrill L. Gehlhausen of Ferdinand; three sons and three daughters-in-law, Fred (Cindy) Gehlhausen of Huntingburg, Stan (Cindy) Gehlhausen of Dale and Mike (Linda) Gehlhausen of St. Henry; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Suzi (Harris) Jones of Beaufort, South Carolina and Kathie (Bob) Oser of Holland; one sister, Betty Bender of Huntingburg; by (10) grandchildren and (8) great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Lucille F. Gehlhausen will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Ryan Hilderbrand.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 3rd.  A parish vigil service, led by Deacon Tom Holsworth, will be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions can be made to Heart to Heart Hospice.  Condolences may be shared online at:  www.nassandson.com
