Anne E. Harker, age 72 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at her home.

She was born in Jasper, Indiana on October 1, 1945 to Mark H. and Hilda R. (Stemle) Harker.

She, along with her sisters, owned and operated Jasper Automotive in Jasper and Harker Automotive in Ferdinand.  In her retirement, she enjoyed delivering vehicles for Uebelhor and Sons in Jasper.

She was an active member of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper, where she was a member of the church building committee and enjoyed making dressing for the church picnic.  She was also a member of the Women of the Moose, and a charter volunteer for the Spirit of Jasper Train.

She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially for others, making quilt tops, and feeding the squirrels, birds, and neighborhood pets.

Surviving are two sisters, Karen Nordhoff, Jasper, and Alice Harker, Newburgh, IN, one sister-in-law, Jessica Harker, and special nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents and brother Joel Harker, and one brother-in-law, Tony Nordhoff.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Anne E. Harker will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday,  August 22, 2018 at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana with entombment to follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Precious Blood Catholic Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Precious Blood Catholic Church, the Dubois County Humane Society, or a favorite charity.
