Lois Jean “Jeanne” Neukam, age 88, of Dubois, Indiana passed away at 10:35 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Eskaton Care Center Greenhaven in Sacramento, California.

She was born June 25, 1930 in Dubois, Indiana to Ray and Lorena (Seger) Matheis.

She was a graduate of Dubois High School and Lockyear Business College in Evansville, Indiana.

Jeanne was a secretary and bookkeeper at Jasper Lumber Company for many years.

She was a member of St. Isadore Parish – St. Raphael’s Campus. She enjoyed watching basketball on television, playing cards with family and friends, and most of all her dog, “Muff”.

Surviving are two daughters: Shelley Fehribach (Eric), Jasper, IN and Holly Butler, Elk Grove, CA ,Five grandchildren: Dylan Fehribach, Keila Butler, Leia Grand (Patrick), Slade Butler and Tyia Colfescu, Four great grandchildren: Malia and Mason Tye, and Henry and Violet GrandOne, one sister: Diane Craig, Jeffersonville, IN, One nephew and six nieces

Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Vernon (Sherri) and Harold Matheis

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois with burial to follow in the church cemetery, there will be no visitation before Mass.

A luncheon will be held immediately after in the church basement for family and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois.
