Carolyn M. Roos, age 81, of Huntingburg, passed away to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 11:30 p.m., while residing at The Waters of Huntingburg in the Hope Springs Unit.

She was born December 22, 1936, in Memphis, Tennessee to Wiley Owen and Rose Mary (Smith) Ellis; and married Thomas “Tom” Roos on June 8, 1954, in Millington, Tennessee.  Carolyn worked as a laboratory technician at the former Stork Memorial Hospital in Huntingburg, Memorial Hospital in Jasper and the Huntingburg Clinic.  She was a member of the Huntingburg Church of Christ.  Carolyn loved the Lord and life.  She enjoyed crafts and crocheting, tending flowers in her backyard and being outdoors.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Roos, who passed away in 1985; her mother and father; and one sister, Betty Baird.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen “Kathy” Elshoff of Holland; two sisters, Mary Ann Brooks of Cordova, TN and Anita Rose “Geetie” Murphy of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren, Amanda “Mandi” Kibby of Jasper, Aaron Elshoff of Holland and Jason Elshoff of Holland; and by six great grandchildren, Liam, Keatan, Anderson, Alivia, Alton and Aida.

Memorial services for Carolyn M. Roos will be held at 12:00 noon, E.D.T., on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at the Huntingburg Church of Christ with private interment to follow.  Minister Ryan Scherer will officiate at the service.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.  Condolences may be shared with the family online at:  www.nassandson.com
