Martin J. Weisman, age 78 of Bloomington, formerly of Boone Township in Dubois County, passed away at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at The Timbers of Jasper.

Martin was born in Boone Township in Dubois County on January 26, 1941 to Alfred and Viola (Thimling) Weisman.

He was U.S. Air Force Veteran who served in the Vietnam War.

Martin worked as a TV tuner technician in Indianapolis and Bloomington for many years, and then retired as a technician for General Electric in Bloomington.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township.

He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, I.U. Basketball, and Cleveland Browns fan.

Surviving are two sisters, Marlene Mann (John), Dubois, Barbara Mosby (Jerry), Troy, IN, three brothers, Charles Weisman (LaVerne), Boone Township, David Weisman (Susan), Boone Township, Radius W. Weisman (Rebecca L.), Jasper, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, John W. Weisman.

Funeral services for Martin J. Weisman will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township IN, with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery.  Pastor Catherine Burnette will officiate.  The VFW Post #673 will conduct military gravesite rites.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township.
