Rita Rahman, 58, of Ferdinand passed away on Thursday, June 27th at her home.

Rita was born December 23, 1960 in Ferdinand to Eugene and Imelda (Buechler) Mehling. She married Kenneth Rahman on May 30, 1981. Rita was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Ferdinand Catholic Church and its St. Anne’s Sodality. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, flea markets, Sunday afternoon drives and watching movies.

Rita is survived by her husband, Kenny of Ferdinand; two sons, Chris (Amanda) Rahman of St. Anthony and Brian (Katie) Rahman of Summer, IL; parents, Eugene and Imelda Mehling; four brothers, Rich (Jane) Mehling of Huntingburg, Ernie (Judy) Mehling of St. Anthony, Steve (Jackie) Mehling  of Ferdinand and Russel (Patty) Mehling of Bristow; three sisters, Kathy (Jim) Ernst of Huntingburg, Ruth (Tony) Paulin and Lisa (Gene) Mullis all of Ferdinand; four grandchildren, Kyana, Emery, Lylah and Tucker Rahman; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 AM in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8:00 PM and also on Monday from 7-9:30 AM at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ferdinand Cemetery Fund or St. Ferdinand St. Anne’s Sodality.
