 90-year-old Gloria Ann Christian, of Huntingburg, formerly of Evansville, passed away at 6:05 a.m., on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

She was born May 25, 1929, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Cecil and Margaret (Kost) Starks; and married Kenneth Creighton “Popie” Christian on October 25, 1946, in St. Louis.  Gloria was a member of the Huntingburg Church of Christ; enjoyed being a homemaker, and made family and church the center of her life.  She was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away on July 2, 2015; and by six siblings, Gail Cella, Helen Jones, Richard, Stanley, Harry, and Dale Starks.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie (Dan) Bean of Huntingburg; her son-in-love, David (Diane) Schnell of Schnellville; one sister, Sylvia Marquart of Cromwell, Iowa;one grandchild, Jennifer (John) Green of Nashville, Tennessee; and three great-grandchildren, Daniel, Luke and Neveah.

Funeral services for Gloria Christian will be held at 4:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Monday, July 22, 2019, at the Huntingburg Church of Christ with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg.  Brothers Jerry Tackitt and Ryan Sherer will officiate.  Friends may call for visitation at the church from 2:00-4:00 p.m., on Monday, the day of the service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Lipscomb Academy Special Needs Program, In memory of Gloria Christian, Attn: Advancement, 3901 Granny White Pike, Nashville, TN 37204
