David L. Ferguson, age 85, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 11:18 a.m., on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at his home.

He was born on August 31, 1937, in Huntingburg, to Shelby and Ardella (Fischer) Ferguson; and married Mary Ann Gogel on February 14, 1976.  David was a Navy veteran serving as an electronic and communication engineer. He was a Southern Indiana regional installer for Verizon and also contracted by WBDC as a broadcast engineer.  David was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and V.F.W. Post #2366.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and being outdoors.    He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ann, on January 23, 2019; and a brother, Don Ferguson.

He is survived by one son, Patrick (Dana) Ferguson of Huntingburg; four siblings, Larry (Doris) Ferguson of Huntingburg, Ann (Gary) Schmidt of Huntingburg, Kaye (Bruce) Blevins of Michigan, and Jayne Losinski of The Villages, Florida; and by three grandchildren, Emma, Tucker and Harper Ferguson.

A memorial service for David L. Ferguson will be held at 3:30 p.m., E.D.T., on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.  Father Biju Thomas will officiate the service.
