Jeanette D. Boeglin, 90, of Huntingburg, passed away at 6:20 a.m., on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Legacy Living Center in Jasper.

She was born in Huntingburg to Raymond and Mildred (Weisman) Pfaff.  Jeanette married Marvin L. Boeglin on December 20, 1952.  She and her husband owned and worked side by side for over 40 years at Chase Studio.  They also loved sports and could be found at various Southridge ball games, watching St. Louis Cardinals or their granddaughter, Melanie, play basketball at Indiana State University.  Jeanette was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was very involved in many activities including teaching religious education, serving funeral meals and the Ladies Sodality.  She also served on the Huntingburg Museum Board,

V.F.W. Post #2366 Ladies Auxiliary and on the Huntingburg Volunteer Firemen’s Auxiliary.   She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Virginia Dearing; step-sisters, Marian (Jim) Bolin and Dolores (Russ) Raucher.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Marvin L. Boeglin of Huntingburg; sons, Denny (Ann) Boeglin of Huntingburg, David (Joyce) Boeglin of Whitestown, Indiana, Jay (Delilah) Boeglin of Winslow; grandchildren, Matt (Jenae) Boeglin, Sarah (Travis) Oeding, Adam (Lindsay) Boeglin, Brooke (J.D.) Meneely, Melanie (Donnie) White, Mary Beth (Barnes) Gillespie, Scott (Erin) Boeglin; and ten great-grandchildren with one on the way.

A Funeral Mass for Jeanette Boeglin will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, October 16, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.  Father Biju Thomas will officiate the service. 

Visitation will be held at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, 2023.  A V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary vigil will be held before the parish rosary which will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evening at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s funeral meal fund, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Riley Hospital for Children, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or V.F.W.
