George W. Woodham, age 90, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 9:20 p.m. on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.

George was born in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania, on November 15, 1933, to George and Anna (Zawoysky) Woodham.  He married Delores G. Osmon on September 12, 1959, at Indianapolis, Indiana.

He was a graduate of Leetsdale High School in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania, and then earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.

He was a United States Army Veteran.

George was a chemist for Fiberfill in Evansville, Indiana and then RTP in Winona, Minnesota.

He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Evansville, Indiana, where he had taught adult Sunday School, and he was a member of the Optimist Club where he had been past president of the Santa Claus chapter.  He was also a Big Brother.

George was an avid golfer and loved to read.

He is survived by his wife, Delores Woodham, Jasper, IN, one daughter, Ruth (John) Coller, Jasper, IN, one daughter-in-law, Patty Woodham, Essex Junction, VT, three grandchildren, David Woodham, Jeffrey Woodham, and Jared (Caitlyn) Coller, four sisters, Molly (John) Munk, Stevensville, MT, Barbara (Tom) Couper, Sewickley, PA, Alice (Tim) Smith, Sewickley, PA, and Gloria Sandrock, Bluffton, SC, one sister-in-law, Linda Woodham, Wexsford, PA, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are one son, Steven Robert Woodham, one sister, Anna Kuharsky, and one brother, Nick Woodham.

A memorial service for George W. Woodham will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana.  Pastor Heather Foley will officiate.

A memorial visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel on Saturday.  Burial will be at a later date.
