Sharon Lou Roettger, age 68, of Stendal, passed away, on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Deaconess Hospital in Henderson, Kentucky. 

She was born February 2, 1956, in Huntingburg to Norman and Betty (Blount) Caldemeyer.  She married James Roettger, Jr. on October 20, 1974, at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Stendal where they are members.  She retired from Best Chairs as a seamstress.  Sharon was a homemaker who loved caring for her grandchildren; crafting, sewing, making wreaths, and helping everyone she knew.  She is preceded in death by her parents.   

She is survived by her husband, Jim Roettger, Jr. of Stendal; daughter, Teresa (Mike) Goodpaster of Stendal; sons, Aaron (Alex) Roettger of Stendal, Matthew (Ashley) Roettger of Cocoa, Florida; siblings, Brenda (Jerry) Houchin of Stendal, Larry (Denise) Caldemeyer of Lynnville, her twin sister, Karen (Rodney) Dixon of Winslow, Gary (Karen) Caldemeyer of Stendal, Rita (Mark) Williams of Stendal, Kutina (Albert) Kline of Holland, William (Jolene) Caldemeyer of Stendal; five grandchildren, Grace Goodpaster, Emberly, Oliver, Dawson and Willow Roettger plus one on the way; nieces, nephews and in-laws.

 Funeral services for Sharon Roettger will be held on Friday, February 16th at 2:00 p.m. E.S.T. at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Stendal. 

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church.
