Judith Ann McCarty, age 82, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 7:34 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at home surrounded by family.

Judy was born in Huntingburg, Indiana, on April 7, 1942, to Marion and Dorothy (Fleck) Tabor.  She married Robert McCarty on July 24, 1981, in Jasper, Indiana.

She was a graduate of Ireland High School.

She was co-owner, along with husband, of Robert McCarty Photography.

She was a member of the Tri-Kappa Sorority, Jasper Duplicate Bridge Club, and the Professional Photographers of Indiana.  She was also very active in the Jasper Friends of the Arts.

Judy was an avid card player and was a Life Master in Bridge and loved to cook, bake, travel, and spend time with family and friends.

Surviving is her husband, Robert McCarty, Jasper, IN, four children, Lisa (Monty) Woolsey, Kurt (Tracy) Lorey, Kari (Clint) Child, and Michael (Jerry) McCarty, 15 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is one brother, Charles Tabor and one son, Daniel McCarty.

The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for their amazing care.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation for Judith A. McCarty will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September, 3, 2024, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana.
