Linda Mae Taves passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, at The Timbers of Jasper surrounded by her family.

She was born March 14, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, to Ed and Irene Komorous, who preceded her in death.  Her husband David J. Taves, preceded her in death on June 18, 2020.  She is also preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, a brother-in-law, a sister-in-law, and nephew.  She made many friends in life from being an EMT, working at Sternberg’s convenience store and Walmart.  She loved to crochet and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by a brother, Keith Komorous (Nancy) of St. Francis, MN, one daughter, Rene Deno (Jason) Huntingburg, IN; three sons; James Taves, Huntingburg, IN, Jeffery Taves, Owensboro, KY, and Nathan Taves (Ellie), Jasper, IN.  She is also survived by two brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and 10 grandchildren. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
