Douglas R. Brosmer, age 63, of St. Anthony, Indiana, passed away at home surrounded by family at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

Doug was born in Avon Park, Florida, on December 15, 1961, to Ralph and Beatrice “Betsy” (Vonderheide) Brosmer.  He married Debra (Uebelhor) Henke on September 21, 1996, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony, Indiana.

He was a 1980 graduate of Forest Park High School.

He worked the majority of his life in woodworking factories.

He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish – St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony, Indiana, Jaycees 800 Club, and was the secretary of the St. Anthony Conservation Club.

Doug had a passion of working with barnwood, and he and his wife built their house using his intricate skill.  He built many pieces of furniture with reclaimed wood for their home, family, and friends.  In addition, he enjoyed camping, traveling to the beach, and spending time with his family and friends.  Doug was also very proud of his 1977 Trans Am, as it was his most prized possession.

Surviving are his wife, Debbie Brosmer, St. Anthony, five children, Kyla (Max) Pyko, Mountain Brook, AL, Jared (Kara) Henke, Jasper, IN, Bethany (Craig) Schwenk, Jasper, IN, Braylin (Miles) Recker, St. Anthony, IN, Bryce Brosmer, St. Anthony, IN, 13 grandchildren, four sisters, Janice (Allan) Klem, St. Anthony, IN, Connie (Dennis) Sendelweck, Dubois, IN, Joyce (Mark) Jackson, Sylvia (Kevin) Kline, Ferdinand, IN, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in his death are his parents and one sister, Karen (Ronnie) Meyer.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Douglas R. Brosmer will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 2:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, and one hour before the Mass time at the church on Tuesday from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
