John R. Clark, age 70, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at The Waters of Huntingburg in Huntingburg, Indiana.

John was born in Washington, Indiana, on June 10, 1954, to Franklin and Frances (Horn) Clark. 

He was a 1972 graduate of Loogootee High School, where he was valedictorian of his class.

He was a United States Navy Veteran. 

He had worked for Kimball and then worked many years for Masterbrand.

John enjoyed country music, especially Dolly Parton.  He loved animals, writing, food, and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are four sisters, Margie A. Dean, Lexington, KY, his twin, Connie K. Conrad, Jasper, IN, Jacqueline S. Poole, Jasper, IN, and Patricia M. Laster, Carolina Shores, NC, several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents, and two brothers-in-law, Roy W. Laster and Wilbur “David” Poole Jr.

A funeral service for John R. Clark will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in South Martin Cemetery in Loogootee, Indiana.  The American Legion Post #147 will conduct military graveside rites. 

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. service time at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana.
