Jasmyn E. Lorey, age 16, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 9:01 a.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Deaconess Memorial Medical Center in Jasper.

Jasmyn was born in Clarksville, Indiana, on November 11, 2008, to Adam and Jayme (Jahn) Lorey.

She was a junior at Jasper High School and worked at Headquarters restaurant. She has always been a perfectionist so the dishes were spotless and the food she made was delicious. She got to work with her mom, brother, and sister and always made work more fun.

Jasmyn was a member of Redemption Christian Church since 2019 and was baptized that same year on August 26th.  She loved going to the Well, Camp Iliana, EPIC Camp, and attend Sunday services and sing along with all her favorite songs. She was manager of the Jasper High School wrestling team, and former cheerleader.

Jasmyn was kind, sensitive, and a free spirit. She was always up for an adventure whether it was going to concerts, ballgames, and band competitions. Jasmyn was always rooting for the underdog and was probably rooting for you too.

Jasmyn is survived by her parents: Adam and Jayme Lorey, Jasper; one sister, Jalynn Lorey, Purdue; one brother, Julian Lorey, Jasper; maternal Nana, Sheryl and Pampaw Bill Cody; maternal grandpa, Papa Jahn “Tommy” and Victoria Jahn; paternal grandma, Mamaw Terri and Papaw John Whalin; and Papaw Garry Lorey.

A funeral service for Jasmyn E. Lorey will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Redemption Christian Church in Jasper, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
