Edward Thomas Lemond, Sr., age 86, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away at 11:45 a.m., C.D.T., on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

He was born June 12, 1930, in Duff, Indiana to Orville and Catherine (Nolen) Lemond. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Tech Sergeant after 20 years of service. Ed enjoyed collecting and building clocks and bowling. He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Pete, Robert, Billy and Joe Lemond.

He is survived by his wife, Reva Theis of Evansville; six children, Marie (Dan) Enlow of Boonville, Ed (Deborah) Lemond, Jr. of Jasper, Nancy (Tom) Mutchman of Huntingburg, Paul (Susan) Lemond of Huntingburg, Mike (Debbie) Lemond of Winslow, and Jeff Lemond of Huntingburg; nine siblings, James, Oscar, Albert and Charlie Lemond, Margaret Brown, Mary Ann Bohnert, Ester Peach, Henrietta Toby, and Melba Montgomery; by twenty grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services for Edward Lemond, Sr. will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Mayo Cemetery near Duff. The V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail will conduct military graveside rites.
