Al-Fred J. Hoffmann, age 84 of Ferdinand, Indiana died at 7:05 a.m. Sunday, (October 23, 2016) in the Loogootee Health Care Center in Loogootee, Indiana.

hoffman-al-fredHe was born in Martin County Indiana on July 23, 1932 to Luther J. and Amanda (Himsel) Hoffmann.

Al-Fred was a graduate of Loogootee High School, Graduate of the University of Louisville with a degree in business and also served in the US Air Force.

He retired from the City of Ferdinand as the manager and accountant for the utility department. He previously was employed at Malloy Battery at Indianapolis, Indiana, L & N railroad Louisville, Kentucky.

His hobbies: Model Airplanes and Computers.

He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville.

Funeral services for Al-Fred Hoffmann will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, (October 28, 2016), in Christ Lutheran Church with burial to follow in Community Cemetery in Haysville. The Rev. Timothy Kraemer will officiate. V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper will conduct military grave side rites.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or to a favorite charity.
