Sarah J. Chambers, age 77 of Jasper, IN, formerly of Loogootee, IN, passed away at 11:12 a.m. on Thursday (December 8, 2016) at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper, Indiana.

Sarah was born in Loogootee, Indiana on June 21, 1939 to Reason and Rosemary (Wagoner) Wagner.

She managed several food service businesses in the Loogootee and Shoals area.

She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Loogootee, Indiana.

She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, sewing, painting, doing word puzzles, and was devoted to her grandchildren. She loved to listen to anyone who needed an ear.

Preceding her in death was one sister; Norma Hickman, and one brother; Michael Wagner.

Funeral Services for Sarah J. Chambers will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday (December 13, 2016) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana with burial to follow at a later date. Fr. Cris Adongo will officiate.

Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until the 6:00 p.m. service time on Tuesday (December 13, 2016) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana. A rosary will be prayed at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center, or to a favorite charity.
