Cletus R. Sermersheim Age 80 of Jasper passed away at 2:31 CST a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017, in St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana.

He was born in Jasper, Indiana on July 15, 1936 to Carl J. and Loretta (Schmitt) Sermersheim. He married Sadie Voelkel on April 25, 1957 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.

Cletus was a graduate of Dubois High School Class of 1956 and served in the Indiana National Guard.

He was a route salesman for Dubois County Beverage in Jasper for 42 years. He also worked in maintenance at Meadowood Apartments for 8 years. He farmed the family farm with his brother for 34 years.

He is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Funeral services for Cletus Sermersheim will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2017, in St. Joseph Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
