Mary Lou Tretter, age 75, of Celestine, Indiana, passed away at 5:15 a.m. on Wednesday (January 4, 2017) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana.

Mary was born in Celestine, Indiana on July 10, 1941, to Leo H. and Veronica (Gadlage) Hoffman. She married Linus Tretter on June 20, 1964 in St. Celestine Catholic Church.

Mary was a graduate of the Academy of the Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand, Indiana.

She was a secretary at the parish office at St. Celestine Catholic Church, and after retirement was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Isidore Parish – St. Celestine Campus and the St. Ann’s Society.

She enjoyed working with flowers, gardening, reading, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is one sister, Shirley Goodman.

Funeral services for Mary Lou Tretter will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday (January 10, 2017) at St. Isidore Catholic Church – St. Celestine Campus, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday (January 9, 2017) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
