Mary Ann Sickbert, age 86, of Dale, passed away at 4:45 p.m., Sunday, March 26, 2017, at her residence.

She was born September 18, 1930, in Evansville, Indiana to Francis and Attilia (Buschkill) Stofleth; and was united in marriage to Chester E. Sickbert on June 14, 1952, at Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg. She enjoyed participating in volunteer activities and most recently was a volunteer worker at Shared Abundance in Huntingburg until earlier this year; was a member of Salem United Church of Christ; enjoyed playing cards with her lady friends and feeding the fish; and spending time with her family whom she adored and with her dog, Brute. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chet Sickbert, who passed away March 30, 2008; her parents; and two brothers, Robert and Vernon Stofleth.

She is survived by three sons and three daughters-in-law, Randall (Ruth) Sickbert of Ferdinand, Scott (Pam) Sickbert of Jasper and Bruce (Dee) Sickbert of Dale; and by her wonderful grandchildren and precious great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mary Ann Sickbert will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. The Reverend Tom Wade and Reverend Mark West will officiate at the service.
