Carl Parks, Sr., age 65, of Evansville, formerly of Huntingburg, passed away at 5:20 a.m., on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

Carl was born June 9, 1951, in Huntingburg, Indiana to Edgar and Nellie (Whipking) Parks. He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Cornell Parks and Arthur “Buck” Parks; and sister, Sharon Parks.

He is survived by his four children, Carl Parks, Jr. of Jasper, Barbara (Bradley) Dotterweich of Washington, Indiana, Tiffany Parks of Evansville, Edgar Parks of Evansville; brothers, Jack Parks of Mammoth Springs, Arkansas, Harry Parks of Otwell, Robert Parks of Jasper; sisters, Diana Bockstahler of Jasper, Patty Schmitt of Jasper; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A memorial service for Carl Parks, Sr. will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Friday, June 9, 2017, at Maranatha Assembly of God Church in Loogootee, Indiana. Pastor Duane Smith will officiate at the service. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Nass and Son Funeral Home have been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
