Judith E. “Judy” Jeffries, age 74, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

Judy was born June 15, 1942, in Jasper, Indiana to Pete and Edna (Bamburger) Buechlein. She was united in marriage to Emmett Faurest “Frosty” Jeffries on May 12, 1962, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper. Judy was a cook at the YMI in Huntingburg for many years; collected coke memorabilia and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Faurest “Frosty” Jeffries, who died May 20, 2014; and siblings, Bill Buechlein and Georgann McDaniel.

She is survived by two daughters, Janet (Kevin) Brown of Huntingburg and Angie Childress of Huntingburg; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Judith E. “Judy” Jeffries will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., Thursday, June 8, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rev. Ryan Hilderbrand will officiate the services.
