Raven Y. Waninger, 40 of Troy, passed away, Thursday, May 25th in an automobile accident. Raven was born March 10, 1977 in Perry County to Robert and Carol (Kratzer) Terry. She married David Waninger on May 2, 1998 in St. Meinrad Catholic Church.

Raven was a certified medical assistant at Memorial Hospital and healthcare Center in Jasper. Raven was a 1995 graduate of Tell City High School and graduated May 8, 1999 from Ivy Tech with an Associate Degree in Applied Science to become a Certified Medical Assistant.

She was a member of St. Meinrad Catholic Church. Raven enjoyed watching her kids play sports, fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends. She was a St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Raven is survived by her husband, David Waninger of Troy; one son, Dawson Waninger at home; one daughter, Hayley Waninger at home; three sisters, Marissa (Shawn) Schmitt of Jasper, Deanna Brown of Tell City and Crystal (Gale) Schaeffer of Santa Claus; one brother, Clayton (Mary) Billings of Tell City. Raven was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Carol Terry.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT Friday June 9th in St. Meinrad Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 7:00 PM CDT Thursday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand and from 9:00 AM CDT until service time Friday at the church.
