William Henry “Bill” Meyer, 88, of Holland, passed away at 3:22 a.m., on Sunday, July 30, 2017, at the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

He was born December 20, 1928, in Holland, Indiana to Henry A. and Mildred (Lange) Meyer; and married Bernice Maria Finke on October 23, 1949, in Orange, California. Bill owned and operated the Westside Grocery in Holland and then worked for Holland Dairy as a driver and salesman. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, where he sang in the choir and held church offices; and a past Kiwanis and Jaycees member. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jacquelyn Sue Meyer; and sister, Lucille Meyer.

Bill is survived by his wife, Bernice Maria Meyer of Holland; three children, Lana (Randy) Flamion of Holland, Brad (Kim) Meyer of Huntingburg, and Tara (Dave) Parman of Monroe City, Ind.; one sister, Marian Caldemeyer of Holland; by eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for William Henry “Bill” Meyer will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at St. James Lutheran Church in Holland with burial to follow at St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Pastor David Darling will officiate at the services.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Tuesday; and also at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Wednesday morning.
