Edward S. Gunselman, 76, of Ferdinand, died on, August 23, 2017, at Memorial Hospital and HealthCare Center in Jasper. Edward was born, March 5, 1941, in Ferdinand to Edward P. and Clara (Steffen) Gunselman. He married Mary Kaufman on, September 19, 1964, in St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Siberia.

Edward was an employee of DMI. He formerly worked at Homestead Pizza and Walmart as a Greeter. Edward enjoyed animals, farming and socializing with family and friends.

He was a member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church and also the St. Josephs Sodality.

Edward is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Gunselman of Ferdinand; two sons, Fabian (Charlotte) Gunselman and Tim (Elizabeth) Gunselman all of Ferdinand; one daughter Agnes (Rodney) Vaal of St. Meinrad; one nephew, Ron (Sandy) Hasenour of St. Meinrad; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Edward was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Catherine Hasenour and a nephew, James Hasenour.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church will burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 4-8:00 PM and Tuesday morning from 7-9:30 AM Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand.
