Louis Schipp, 73, of Fulda, passed away, Wednesday, November 8th at his home. Louis was born October 11, 1944 in Ferdinand to Clarence and Rose (Tretter) Schipp. He married Carol Taylor on September 21, 1968 in St. Ferdinand Church.

Louis started Schipp Construction Company in 1978 and retired in 2009. Schipp Construction continues on today through his son, Philip. Louis was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the Ferdinand American Legion. Louis loved watching baseball and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.

Louis is survived by his wife, Carol Schipp of Fulda; two sons, Dean (Janet) Schipp of Grandview and Philip (Cinda) Schipp of Fulda; five grandchildren, Kegan, Olivia, Caitlynn, Ally and Logan Schipp; two brothers, Frank (Shirley) Schipp of Ferdinand and Harold (Barbara) Schipp of Jasper; three sisters, Alma Kreilein of Jasper, Norma (Jerry) Jerger of Washington and Vernita (Joe) Williams of Loogootee.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 AM CST in St. Boniface Church in Fulda with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3-8:00 PM CST at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand and also on Saturday from 7-9:30 AM CST at the funeral home.
