Beatrice F. “Betty” Wahl, age 89, of Huntingburg, passed away at 9:47 a.m., on Friday, January 12, 2018, at The Waters of Huntingburg.

She was born March 8, 1928, in St. Meinrad, Indiana to Harry and Olivia (Bumm) Ruhe.  She worked as a cook at the Fiesta Restaurant and then Core Nursing Center; and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.  Betty was a loveable woman who loved to cook.  She was preceded in death by three children, Donnie Wahl, Walter “Junior” Wahl, Jr. and Martha Wahl; and one grandson, Justin Uebelhor.

Betty is survived by four children, Clara (John) Carter of Tell City, Brian Wahl of Huntingburg, Rosie Wahl of Huntingburg and Angie (Scott) Uebelhor of Ferdinand; and by grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Beatrice Wahl will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Ryan Hilderbrand.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 17th.  A parish rosary prayer vigil, led by Deacon Tom Holsworth, will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.  Condolences may be shared with the family at:  www.nassandson.com
