The Friends of the Ferdinand Library will be holding book sales during the Town Wide Yard Sales this weekend.

These book sales will be held on Friday, April 5th, from 10 to 4, and on Saturday, April 6th, from 9:30 to 1:30. The sale can be entered through the library’s main floor or the north side doors off of the Ferdinand Community Center’s parking lot.

The sales will have a table of half-price DVDs in addition to DVDs in other areas, a table of Free items, and all cookbooks will be half-price.

Several authors are being featured during this sale including John Sandford, Robert Ludlum, Michael, Crichton, Karen Robards, Brad Meltzer, and Preston and Child.

The Feature Table has been replenished with newly-donated books including several books exploring the Vietnam War.

There will be a table of recently donated DVDs of complete television seasons/series including Rawhide, Gunsmoke, Cheyenne, The Fugitive, Perry Mason, the Red Green Show, It Takes a Thief, and many others. These DVDs are not half-price but are reduced from the suggested retail price.

Prices remain at $1 for hardbacks; $.50 For soft backs; children’s books, puzzles, and games are variously priced, and the vast majority of DVDs are half-price. At this time, the sale can only accept cash or checks for purchases.

Donations of gently used books, DVDs, and puzzles are always welcomed by the Friends and can be donated in a bin located at the back of the library near the basement door. They cannot accept encyclopedias, textbooks, magazines, or outdated informational books. They would also appreciate not including musty, dusty, or stained books in your donations.
