Richard S. Vonderheide, age 79 of Jasper, Indiana passed away at 4:20  a.m. Monday, (November 2, 2015) in Evansville Select Hospital.

He was born at Celestine, Indiana on April 15, 1936 to Clarence and Marie (Schuble) Vonderheide.  He married Rachel Hedrick on May 4, 1957 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.  She preceded him in death on April 18, 2004.

Rich retired from Jasper Engines where he had worked for over 40 years.

Memberships; Jasper Moose Lodge – Jasper Outdoor Recreation Center.

He enjoyed camping, Fishing with his grandson and traveling.

Surviving,

Son, Stanley and Companion Joyce Mehringer Siddons.

Two grandchildren, Branden and Samantha.

Sister,

Evelyn Fischer and husband Edwin, Jasper.

Preceding him in death besides his wife and parents is one brother Pete Vonderheide and one sister, Marilyn Albertson.

Funeral services for Richard Vonderheide will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, (November 5, 2015) in the Christian Church of Jasper.  The Rev. Darrell Land will officiate with burial to follow in Enlow Jasper City Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jasper Humane Society.
