Ernest “Ernie” Miller, age 86 of Bretzville, Indiana, passed away at 5:45 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.

Ernie was born in Schnellville, Indiana on October 11, 1932 to Sylvester and Veronica (Brames) Miller.  He married Bernice Fleck on May 14, 1955 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.

He served in the Indiana Army National Guard, and had worked for Central Concrete and several area Furniture Manufacturers.

He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish – St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and the St. Anthony Community Center, where he served as a past president.

He enjoyed going to Florida in the wintertime, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice Miller, one daughter, Lynn Zimmerman, Indianapolis, one son, Jeff Miller (Karlene), Westfield, four grandchildren, Kaylie Huver, Emily Miller, Kari Zimmerman, and Nicole Zimmerman, two great grandsons, Jackson Miller and Leo Huver, one brother, Charles Miller (Lenora), Jasper.

Preceding him in death was one son, Stanley Miller, and one grandson, Eric Miller.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Ernest “Ernie” Miller will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, in St. Anthony, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

A visitation will be held from Noon until the 2:00 p.m. Mass time on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Divine Mercy Parish, Heart to Heart Hospice or to a favorite charity.
