Marilyn Kay Sutherland, age 85, of Huntingburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

She was born on December 18, 1937 in Salem, Illinois to Ward and Mildred (Campbell) Fry.  Marilyn embraced being a minister’s wife working at her husband’s, Lowry Calvin Sutherland III, side at Central Christian Church and had been a substitute teacher for Southwest Dubois School Corporation.  She was currently a member of Northside Christian Church.  Marilyn loved caring for her grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lowry; a brother, Gary Fry; and a sister, Connie Beth Fry.

She is survived by her children, Scott (Melody) Sutherland of Columbia, Missouri, Jill (Tim) Morris of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jeffrey (Melissa) Sutherland of Louisville, Kentucky, Beth Sutherland of Holland; brother, Bill Fry of Harvest, Alabama; ten grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Marilyn Sutherland will be held at 6:00 p.m. EST, on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.  Pastor Jason Rea will officiate.  Burial will take place at a later date at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem, Illinois.
