Larry Lee Schurz, age 72, of Holland, passed away at 4:35 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2024, at his fiancé’s house.

He was born November 8, 1951, in Huntingburg, to George James and Mary Frances (Handlon) Schurz. Larry retired from IMI Concrete Company after 50 years; and was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Holland. The joy and love of his life was spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Abby Lynn Schurz; sister-in-law, Jeannie Schurz. 

He is survived by one son, Jonathan Lee Schurz of Huntingburg; fiancé, Lindy Lee Keaton of Huntingburg; one brother, Gary Schurz of Ferdinand; five grandchildren, Tristan, Kaitlyn, Xavier and Deicon Schurz and Peyton Burris; four great-grandchildren and two nieces, Taffi Schurz Jaso of Valparaiso and Hearth Schurz Kissling of Chicago.

Funeral service for Larry Lee Schurz will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Pastor Daniel Landin will officiate. 

Visitation will be held from 3:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 3rd, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
