Donna K. Atkins, 74, of Huntingburg, passed away at 11:32 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at her residence.
She was born January 28, 1950, in Huntingburg, to John S. and Bertha C. (Meyer) Kiefer. Donna attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper when she was younger. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and doing crafts. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daryl Jeffries; brother, Ralph Kiefer; and great-grandchild, James Davenport.
She is survived by four children, Linda (Scott) Waddle of Birdseye, Tammy (John) Mann of Otwell, David (Joy) Jeffries of Jasper and Misty (Asare) Baffour of Huntingburg; her companion, Terry R. Atkins; two siblings, John (Eileen) Kiefer of Huntingburg and Sharon (Marty) Gogel of Huntingburg; sister-in-law, Donna Kiefer of Jasper; ten grandchildren, Jamey “Sturg”, Anastasia, Kaylee, McKala, Tyler (Nicole), Czarmell, Adam, Brandon, Caleb and Daelynn; and by eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Donna K. Atkins will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Birdseye Cemetery. Pastor Mike Turner will officiate the service.
