Glenn Ebert, 58, of Indianapolis passed away August 2, 2023 at his home.
Kenneth L. Striegel, age 84 of Medora, Indiana, formerly of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 9:41 pm on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Indiana.
Based on the IDEM evaluation the REC construction permit is expired and no longer valid. If REC wishes to conduct further construction related to air permitting requirements they must obtain a new permit to construct and operate. Indiana Code requires REC to file a petition for administrative review and submit all required documents within 18 days of the mailed notice on August 1, 2023.

Robert Higgenbotham was arrested without incident at his residence on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 and transported to the Washington County Jail on a Level 4 Felony charge of Child Molesting.
On Tuesday, August 1, 2023 the Vanderburgh County Clerk issued an arrest warrant for Benjamin Seger. County Deputies arrested Seger and transported him to the Vanderburgh County Jail on two Level 4 Felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography Where the Child is Under 12 Years of Age, two Level 5 Felony charges of Possession of Child Pornography where the Child is Under 18 Years of Age and two additional Level 5 Felonies for Vicarious Sexual Gratification as well as Child Solicitation.
Emergency personnel were at the scene of the accident until 1:30 local time in Tuesday’s early morning hours while officers diverted traffic. The investigation is ongoing; however, at this time it’s believed Henson could have become distracted and crossed the centerline. Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be a factor.
Authorities arrived at Trooper Smith’s home and observed him pull into the driveway as the sole occupant in his personal vehicle. They initiated a conversation where Trooper Smith displayed signs of impairment and investigation was initiated.
Michelle Ann King, age 48, of Birdseye, passed away at 1:43 a.m., Friday, July 28, 2023, at The Timbers of Jasper.
